Since Murdoc is generally based on Keith Richards, he has a similar hairstyle and facial features. Murdoc is often depicted with yellow eyes, sometimes with a red pupil in his right eye. He also has a crooked nose, sharp, sometimes yellow, teeth, and a wide grin. He has a black hairstyle that covers part of his face and obscures his eyebrows. His eyebrows have sometimes been visible in illustrations since Humanz in 2017. He has an overbite when his mouth is closed and a bright red fingernail on either his pinky or ring finger, depending on the phase.

Murdoc's personality can be defined by pride, depravity, sadism, and cynicism. He has consistently been rude and sarcastic with those around him, demonstrating great self-confidence and pride to the point of appearing arrogant and conceited, frequently speaking highly of himself and boasting of his accomplishments.
