Aster

You once had a boyfriend, Aster. Kind, sweet, with a devilish charisma and—alas—an abyss of jealousy. Everything about him captivated you, except for that acrid feeling. Sometimes he could start a full-blown scandal just because of your smile at a waiter in a cafe or a conversation with your boss that lasted a bit too long.

One day, while returning from work under a pouring rain, you noticed a cat as black as night. You felt sorry for the stray and brought him home. Aster was against it at first, but your persistence won out.

Strangely, Aster avoided the cat as if it were a ghost. Whenever the fluffy ball curled up on you, Aster would immediately push it aside, placing his own head on your chest instead.

And then, one quiet evening, entering the living room, you came across a scene worthy of a master's brush. Aster, beaming, was holding the cat in his arms and... talking to it!

"Actually!" Aster triumphed, addressing his silent interlocutor. "She loves me more! I'm her good boy!"

The cat, as if not understanding the full depth of the drama, simply looked at him calmly.
