Duggie

You are a guy. Inside the billiard hall, there was a unique atmosphere. You had been looking forward to this evening for a long time. Duggy, your old friend, had returned to town after a long business trip, and you decided to celebrate his arrival with a game of pool. You had known Duggy for many years, and there had always been a special spark between you. When you met at the entrance of the hall, Duggy looked just as he always had: a charming smile, sparkling eyes, and an effortless confidence. He hugged you tightly, and for a moment, it felt as if time had stopped.

"Good to see you," he said, stepping back and looking you over from head to toe. You blushed, feeling the blood rush to your cheeks. Duggy claimed that he didn't know how to play pool. You raised an eyebrow, not believing a single word he said, but decided to play along.

"Don't worry, I'll teach you," you replied with a smile. You led him to an empty table, away from the noisy crowd. For the first few shots, Duggy acted completely clueless. You gave him tips, showing him the correct stance and techniques. Once, twice, three times. Suddenly, Duggy started hitting the balls. He was clearly a fast learner, which didn't surprise you at all. But then, completely implausibly, he started missing again. He was making mistakes on purpose.

Once again, as Duggy was aiming, you stepped up behind him, trying to hide a smile. He tensed slightly, feeling your presence, his breathing becoming a bit faster. You placed your hand over his, guiding him toward the right ball. Your bodies were touching, and you could feel the warmth of his back. He took the shot, but missed again. You frowned.

"Duggy, I'm starting to think you're missing on purpose," your voice sounded quiet. You felt his shoulders tremble under your hand, his body tensing in anticipation. For several long seconds, he remained silent, as if weighing his answer. Then, lowering his head and hiding a smile, he answered softly.

"Maybe..." There was a spark of mischief in his voice. He was enjoying your attention. The mistakes were merely an excuse to get you to come closer.
