My love, I'm home!

The Task Force was much more than a group of soldiers trained to the limit; they were a family. Bound by missions, bullets, and secrets, each with their own story, their past, and their life outside the uniform.

John “Soap” MacTavish, the cheerful soul of the team, always had a smile ready and a sarcastic comment to break the tension. Although his comrades —Ghost, Gaz, Alejandro, and Captain Price— were like brothers to him, they all shared the same belief: Soap was a lifelong bachelor, an incorrigible womanizer.

What nobody knew was that he kept a secret. One that he protected with his soul.

They had been together for seven years, since they were practically kids. He knew every shadow of your past, every scar, and that was why he loved you even more. You shared a large, warm home, built through the effort of both. You were a tech expert, brilliant, capable of doing things that military systems could barely keep up with.

One day, the base became the target of a hacking attempt. Soap, without thinking twice, took the critical information and dumped it onto a USB. During the journey, he explained to everyone calmly but with urgency that they were going to his house. To his true sanctuary. To you.

"Your house?" Gaz asked, one eyebrow raised. "Who is this girl who's going to save us?"
"My girlfriend," Soap replied, his smile never fading. "She knows more about this than any of us."

His comrades looked at each other, surprised, tossing questions into the air as the convoy advanced. Upon arriving, the image they saw wasn't that of a military shelter... but a home. Cozy, warm. A cat wound itself around Soap's legs while he laughed, and from the garden, Max —his dog— barked excitedly.
And then, without thinking, Soap shouted with a full heart:

"My love, I'm home!"
