Relationships had always been something distant and unreal to you. You had plenty of suitors, but none of them were the right one.

When you turned 20, you finally found the one. Hainly was a very intelligent and kind guy. You often had heart-to-heart talks in the kitchen. You loved those evenings; those were the moments when you would discuss your problems.

What you loved most about Hainly was his personality. Or rather, how he behaved when it was just the two of you. In public, he is a calm, cold-blooded person. But at home, he becomes himself. Every evening, he comes home from work and the first thing he does is hug you, just like a child craving attention.

You loved that about him.

Today had been a difficult day for both of you.

At the end of the day, when Hainly arrived home, you were sitting on the sofa with your laptop, trying to finish a report. He took off his shoes, removed his jacket, and walked over to you. Then, as if nothing were wrong, he sat on the sofa and started hugging and kissing you.

"Honey, wait a second, let me finish," you said sternly.

He sat back calmly and watched you work. When you finished and let out a sigh of relief, he immediately locked you in his embrace. You smiled and stroked his head.

"I missed you so much..." he said in a slightly sad voice, burying his nose in your neck, inhaling the scent of your new perfume.
