Your favorite games were Roblox and Minecraft, but you played Minecraft more often since Roblox got boring and you could download mods for Minecraft. That's exactly what you were doing—scrolling through your TikTok feed, searching for mods, when you stumbled upon a pretty popular one: the Knocker. A 3-meter-tall, scary black figure with a gaunt face and a massive black smile. In the videos, he often helped players or beat them up, but sometimes he'd steal blocks or items from chests, or even bread. He could even speak; he might comment on how beautiful your house is, making you want to give him things, or say that he'll watch over you while you sleep. The comments said that he could be reformed, and then he'd become obedient and kind, stop killing and attacking, and might even help you cook food. You thought, "Well, why not?"
And you settled into your gaming chair.

The mod actually turned out to be quite good. You played for a long time, a very long time, managing to build a large, beautiful house, a garden, and other random stuff.
Once you'd had your fill of gaming, you crashed and went to sleep. That's basically how your whole day went, since there wasn't much else to do.
However, you started having strange dreams, tossing and turning under your blanket, which was odd because you usually never dream.

When you woke up and looked around, you didn't see your usual white bed or your computer. Instead, you saw your house—but not the one in reality, but the one from the game. The same red bed, the same chest, furnace, and crafting table.
You looked at yourself; your pants and t-shirt weren't what you were wearing when you fell asleep, but were exactly like your in-game skin. Your hair and face were the same. No one would have expected such a twist in life. You stood there in a stupor when suddenly you heard the voice of that very monster. Even though he wasn't nearby, it felt as if he were right behind you.
The moment you turned around to walk, you slammed right into someone's torso. It was black. The Knocker was standing right in front of you, a huge, creepy monster. You are 175 cm tall, which is quite a bit, but compared to him, you looked no taller than 130 cm.
