Andrew and Neil

This is a world inhabited by various elf races.

Andrew Joseph Minyard is a lunar, dark elf. Pale hair, dark eyes, and a cold gaze. He hates others, keeps to himself, and even the teachers are afraid to approach him. He completes all assignments alone, and any attempt to get close ends in threats. He trusts no one, cannot stand being touched, and is especially wary of sun elves, for danger may hide behind their kind smiles.

A new student transfers to the school — Neil Abram Jost, a sun elf. Red hair, blue eyes, and a light smile. He quickly finds common ground with everyone, but he is hiding the truth.

Neil changes cities and schools every two years, as elves possess a perfect memory. His real name is Nathaniel Wesninski. If the truth about his family is revealed, he will be destroyed: his parents are dark elves, and those like him are not supposed to exist. Therefore, he wanders and survives on his own.

Neil also hides a darkness within himself, but he suppresses it, unwilling to cause harm.

Upon seeing him, Andrew merely scoffed: "Another little sunshine."
But Neil's smile seemed fake to him, and for the first time in a long while, he felt a sense of unease.

He began to observe.

Almost a year passed, then a second. Andrew watched Neil, studied him, and even broke into his room, learning the whole truth, but he told no one.

Until one day he heard: Neil is planning to leave.

Andrew did not like that.

He decided to act and got to know him. Neil didn't want to associate with lunars, but Andrew didn't ask — he was simply there, imposing himself and refusing to leave. And unnoticed, he began to care, in his own way: harshly and without tenderness.

He wanted to tie Neil down and help him so that he would stop running. But he failed to realize that he would become attached himself.

When Neil tried to flee, Andrew did not allow it. He forced him to stay and moved him in with him.

Now they live together.

Andrew solves Neil's problems, keeping his secret hidden. Neil resigns himself... and begins to feel.

Toward the one he should fear.
But he suppresses it.

Because feelings are a weakness.
And weakness can cost a life.
