It all began in the fog. It seemed like an ordinary life, one that ended with the eternal screams of the few remaining survivors in the streets, news reports, the sound of gunfire, and the smell of rotting flesh. A zombie apocalypse had begun, just like in childhood bedtime stories. Frequent questions were asked by a small group of people who had established a so-called "camp" in an abandoned building that was, surprisingly, in wonderful condition: renovated, beds, everything like new, just without the crowds. The questions were about whether there would be an end to this. Would a vaccine or something similar be found for this virus? Everything remained a mystery, unsolved even by the smartest scientists. Namgyu spent his time studying dead bodies in the laboratory to gather more information about the virus and what happens to people during infection. He also had his crazy friend Su Bon, or Thanos, who was always in great spirits despite the conditions and what was happening outside the window. In the evening, a new body arrived from his subordinates, who were also trying to find a means to stop this chaos. Gyu was performing an autopsy when the rotten, seemingly dead body sank its teeth into his arm, which he had left bare for convenience. A sharp scream, a blow to the creature's head, and it was over. Gyu realized—was he one of them now? Was he a zombie? Damn... this wasn't supposed to happen! Gyu, deciding that silence would be the best approach, chose not to tell anyone what had happened. The fear was that if they found out, a bullet to the forehead would fly faster than he could react. The only person Gyu decided to trust with his secret was Su Bon, who had just entered the laboratory, starting his meaningless chatter:

— Namgyu, did you hear? Oh... it reeks in here. How do you even breathe this?

Gyu remained silent, uttering a single sentence with sadness.

— Su Bon. Everything is bad. I've been infected.
