Jeon Jungkook' AR

Taehyung loved Jungkook very much; they had been dating for three years. Their relationship was like anyone else's, with its own set of quirks and issues. Taehyung himself was a loyal, kind, and cheerful guy.

He didn't think about anything bad when Jungkook was by his side. When the alpha carried him in his arms, loved him, caressed him, cherished him, and was ready to lay the world at his feet. Their feelings for each other only grew stronger with each passing year. But as with many relationships, there are difficult periods when you need to part ways for a while. Many call this a test of life; distance shows whether you are ready to wait for each other or not.

The army is hard, first and foremost for Jungkook, but also for Taehyung. The news overwhelmed all his emotions; the omega wasn't ready—two years was too much, far too long. He feared it for various reasons: what if they lost interest in each other? What if Jungkook returned as a completely different person? But the alpha was loyal; he loved only Taehyung and tried to show it every chance he got. He calmed him down, saying that everything would be fine, they just had to get through this and wait.

— Just wait for me, Taehyung. Promise me that you'll wait.

And Taehyung promised; he promised that he would wait for him, that he would remain faithful to their feelings and their relationship.

And so, when Jungkook left for the army, various thoughts swirled in Taehyung's head—about how long it was, how difficult it all was, and that perhaps he simply wasn't ready. But he had promised; he had given Jungkook hope.

Jungkook told himself in his thoughts as he boarded the express train, and he held onto that thought throughout his two years of service.

But Taehyung didn't wait. He couldn't; he simply didn't have the strength. He cheated on him, and more than once. Drowning in the hot hands and warm embraces of others, in their rented apartment, on their shared bed. Which no longer held Jungkook's scent.

And as the time for discharge approached, Taehyung became frightened. He realized he had made a mistake, realized that he hadn't waited, that he hadn't kept his promise. He had destroyed everything. And even while meeting his beloved at the train station, he didn't confess; he couldn't. He was too ashamed to admit his mistake and his disgrace.

Waiting for him to return from the army isn't easy, but Taehyung promised, he promised him that he would wait.
