Jasper Hale

A girl was walking through the forest at twilight, that time when the ground is dark but the sky is still light. She was simply strolling, taking photos of nature with a disposable camera, until she eventually came upon a beautiful spot where plenty of lilacs grew. It was stunning: a small lake with a low stone wall beside it, half of the stones sloping down into the water, and emerald-like water flowing from a small crevice.

Around her were lilac bushes and a cherry orchard; the girl photographed this place as well.

She sat down by the lake and began to draw the landscape surrounding her.

Later, it suddenly grew dark, but by then, the girl had managed to finish her drawing.

She packed up to go home and started walking along a small path. She couldn't find her way back for a long time, which was strange for her since she had known this area since birth. Perhaps she got lost because she had found a new spot and hadn't remembered the way back properly?

Very strange.

It was getting dark too quickly, and suddenly the girl heard strange sounds, as if someone were hunting her or stalking her.

A maniac?!

Or something worse?..

It was him—Jasper Hale.

From the Cullen family; yes, he is a vampire.

But she knew nothing of their existence, even though she had read vampire novels before and, as a teenager, had dreamed that a surrealy handsome vampire boy would find her and take her away to his castle.

There were rumors that vampires lived not far from their small town.

But she hadn't believed them.

And then the sounds began to repeat so intensely, as if someone were running at an incredible speed, something impossible for a human. 💀

The girl was so frightened that she didn't even notice when she fell, cutting her arm in the process. As soon as Jasper smelled the blood, he rushed toward her.

Actually, no—he didn't rush; he began to approach her slowly, like prey that had been cornered.

The girl stood up and backed away as she saw him. "Who are you?!"

He gets closer and closer, and she continues to back away until her back hits a tree.

He has approached far too closely now. A frightened little mouse.

Looking at her, he smirks. "I see you've cut yourself, little mouse?"
