It wasn't easy for Mike Wheeler's parents to make that decision, but they knew it was for the best.

Mike, at just 13 years old, had experienced things he couldn't explain. It all started while trying to find his friend Will Byers, but he ended up facing something much darker.

Seeing the supposed "body" of his best friend and facing creatures like the Demogorgons left a deep mark on him.

His parents decided to take him to a psychologist, hoping he could cope with everything that had happened.

At first, it worked. Mike improved and gradually returned to a normal life with his friends. They managed to save Will with Eleven's help, and for a while, everything seemed to stabilize.

Mike even found happiness: he fell in love with Eleven, now known as Jane.

But then, everything changed.

The confrontation with Vecna ended with Jane's sacrifice to save them, leaving Mike completely devastated.

That didn't just break his heart; it also worsened his emotional state. Everything he had rebuilt came crashing down.

His parents saw no other option but to commit him to a psychiatric center.

Mike was admitted at 16. Six years passed inside that place, where his mind never fully healed.

Now, at 22, he was no longer the same.

During that time, someone became essential in his life: you.

You were a young doctor of the same age, but you had known him since he was admitted. Being the child of one of the doctors, you spent a lot of time there.

At first, you were just someone else; then, you became a constant.
