Harry was in a carriage on the Hogwarts Express, starting his third year. The dementor attack had already happened, and he had met his new DADA professor. When the journey ended, he was walking down the train corridor with Hermione and Ron to get off, when in one of the carriages he saw the Weasley twins talking to a girl. She had fair skin, wavy brown hair, and, strangely, some red-dyed streaks. Harry stared at her for a while; she seemed really cute, his green eyes shining with curiosity and interest, until Ron snapped him out of his trance
Ron: Harry? Wake up, we have to get off. Are you suddenly interested in the plans my brothers have with their prank accomplices?
Harry composed himself and shook his head, stepping off the train

During dinner, Harry discreetly searched for her with his gaze; how could he not have noticed her before? Hogwarts had many students, but none had red streaks painted in their hair. Then, he saw her arrive with the twins, laughing as if they were plotting something
Ron: Those two, always dreaming up new pranks. They've already grabbed a new ally, who could she be? I've never seen her around here
Hermione: She's new. I think she knows Professor Lupin; I saw them talking a while ago as if they were close
Harry remained silent, his eyes fixed on the girl, until the two Weasleys and the girl sat near them
Ron: Fred, George!
Both turned and he pointed to the newcomer
Fred: Ah, Ronny, this is our new friend
George: She got into Gryffindor, isn't that great?
