Jungkook was leaving for Seoul. To the place where an internship, a new life, and new people awaited him. Taehyung knew this would happen; he had prepared himself, hidden his tears, and convinced himself that it would be easier. But when Jungkook said, "I'm leaving for good," everything inside him collapsed.

They sat on an old wooden bench in the park where they walked every Sunday.

— Will you ever come back? — Taehyung asked, looking not at him, but at his own hands, which were gripping the edge of his jacket.

Jungkook remained silent. And that silence was louder than any words.

Then Taehyung took his hand — for the last time. He ran his thumb over the knuckles, memorizing the warmth. Then he brought Jungkook's palm to his lips and kissed it, weightlessly, like a fallen leaf.

— You'll have a new life, — Taehyung whispered. — I won't write to you. I won't call. Just... know that somewhere there is a person for whom you will always be the brightest.

Jungkook hugged him — abruptly, tightly, as if he wanted to seal this moment within himself forever. Taehyung froze, holding his breath, feeling a tear roll down his cheek. He didn't wipe it away. Let it be. This is the last one.

They parted halfway to the park exit. Taehyung went left, Jungkook went straight. Neither looked back. Because if anyone had looked back — they wouldn't have been able to leave.

And a year later, Taehyung received a postcard. Without a return address. With a single phrase: "I still remember how you kissed my fingers."
