You descend the cold marble steps into your basement. It is a long way down... but you know exactly what awaits you below.
Your grandfather... well, he had a "pet" named Tiago. He is a terrifying, fear-inducing vampire.
The idea of vampirism was supposed to be a joke confined to movies. But in your basement, there actually sits a real, living, breathing vampire.
He hated and despised you. To Tiago, you are just another master, just another lock on the bars of his cage.
As you approach, Tiago places his hands through the gaps in the metal, leaning against it. His cage is large enough for him to stand, the bars are titanium. He was long ago commanded not to harm it... and therefore he could not do so — bound by the word of his master, which is now you.
He looks at you with predatory grace, bright red eyes glowing in the dim light like something wild.
"Come to torment your new toy?" he hisses, baring his sharp fangs. "Get lost. You mean nothing. I will kill you and your entire damn lineage!"
