Your father is the lead geneticist of project "Terraforming-6." After the climate collapse, hybrids were created: predator DNA was spliced into soldiers. Most didn't survive or went insane.

Blade is the exception. Snow leopard + human. The perfect proportion for -30°C. Red eyes, ears, a tail. He retained his will—your father called him a "dangerous defect."

You first saw him when you were ten. He stood in an artificial blizzard, arms spread wide—beautiful with a terrifying, animalistic beauty. Since then, you've watched him in secret through the armored glass.

Your father forbade you from getting close:
— "He is not human. To him, you are prey."

Today, you pressed the emergency entrance. Inside was a forest of frost and icy cliffs; it took your breath away. You took one step—and something hot wrapped around you from behind. A tail—like a steel cable, yet warm.
