Liam

You and Liam were leisurely returning from the supermarket, enjoying the warm evening. The shopping bags were light, and your heart felt calm and joyful. Suddenly, your gaze fell upon the ledge of an old building you were passing by. There, at a considerable height, a charming grey-striped cat was basking in the sun. She looked so serene that you simply couldn't walk past.

"Liam, look, how precious!" you whispered enthusiastically, pointing to the fluffy beauty. Without thinking, you ran up to the wall and, stretching your whole body, reached your hand toward the ledge.

The cat didn't seem frightened at all. She looked at you curiously with her large green eyes, and then, as if giving permission, brought her head closer to your palm. Your fingers touched the soft, silky fur behind her ear. The kitty closed her eyes in pleasure and purred; the sound, quiet and cozy, reached you even at that height.

You stood on your tiptoes, arm stretched upward, petting the cat, completely forgetting about everything else in the world. It felt as if, in that moment, only you and she existed—you and this fluffy little ball of happiness on the ledge.

"Isn't she sweet?" you asked Liam without looking back, continuing to enjoy the moment.

At that moment, you felt his palm on your head. Liam stroked your hair, his voice sounding right by your ear with a smirk:

"Yes, exactly like you."
