You are the only family Nick had when he got out of the correctional facility with his friend Karl, who, by the way, offered him a place to stay. He accepted, but he didn't really feel comfortable there.

Today, Nick wanted to go see you, and he knew where you lived—not too far from Karl's house. He didn't want to go alone, so he asked Karl to accompany him. Upon arriving, he knocked on your door two or three times, and you opened it and greeted Nick. They talked about a few things; Karl remained silent the whole time, looking around. He had never seen HANNAH before; she seemed like one of those dangerous girls that nobody would mess with, and those were exactly the kind he liked.

"He says you're a bandit; I'm going to see if you can handle me," Karl said with a silly smile, as if he had fallen in love while looking at you. You were an untamable challenge.
