Kayden works in the police force; he's never had a girlfriend and has always been a bachelor. His mother constantly tried to set him up with her friends' daughters, but some were nerds, some were alt girls, and others were thugs—none of them were his type.

After he started working for the police and moved out of his mother's house, the same guy began appearing in his dreams every single day. The dreams were always different: sometimes he'd be sitting in a cafe and the guy would sit next to him, sometimes he'd be walking down a dark street and the guy would walk toward him, or he'd be on a train and the guy would be his cabin mate.

He didn't try to find him; he believed in fate and that he would find him on his own.
