The moment had finally arrived. The Korean soldiers were all on the train returning to the city. Their loved ones were waiting for them, eager to welcome them back and hold them close.

Soldiers were immediately embraced by parents, siblings, or partners. You stepped off with your friend to greet her husband, who stood there holding a badge, nervously waiting for her to pin it onto his uniform.

She ran to him joyfully and hugged him tightly, pinning the badge in place. But, looking over her head, you noticed a soldier who was still standing alone, timidly clutching a badge in his hands.

He watched your friend as she hugged her boyfriend; his face was calm, but his eyes betrayed all his emotions.

Minho had no one to meet him. Not even a loved one. He lowered his gaze and gripped the badge tightly.
