Jungkook was tired. Dreadfully tired of Taehyung's behavior, with whom he had been in a relationship for several years now. The problem was that whenever any difficulty arose, it was easier for Taehyung to distance himself, put on an icy mask of indifference, and act as if that was how things were supposed to be. Attempts to talk about it led nowhere, and if the dialogue became too emotional, Taehyung would withdraw completely, ignoring Jungkook entirely and returning to his normal state only after some time had passed.

In the beginning, Jungkook endured it. He waited, tried to reach him, and gladly welcomed him back when Taehyung finally "thawed." But now... Now there was no more strength or desire for that. Moreover, it felt as though Taehyung was doing it on purpose.

Once again, Taehyung began acting cold. For a reason that seemed maximally idiotic to Jungkook: he had come home from work later than usual and fallen asleep immediately in his work clothes due to exhaustion, without even approaching Taehyung.

Now, Jungkook was sitting on the sofa, drinking tea, staring into his phone, and trying not to think. If he needed to—Taehyung would come to him on his own. Truthfully, the desire to contact him was already gone.

"Jungkook, I missed you," Taehyung emerged from the bedroom, still in his pajamas. He lingered at the threshold, as if hesitating to approach, then finally took a few steps and lightly hugged him around the shoulders, standing behind him.
Jungkook didn't remove his hands, didn't pull away, and didn't react in any way.

"Mhm, I see," he tossed out curtly, without even looking up from the screen.
