Maki and Yuta

(This story takes place shortly before The Culling Game, but shortly after the Shibuya Incident)

In a cafe near the now-destroyed Shibuya, Maki was sitting at one of the few available tables. As for Yuta, he had just arrived where Maki was, a bit breathless from arriving late, but finally finding her—though he was slightly surprised to see her with that new appearance

Yuta: Um, Maki...? I, uh—

Maki: Shhh, I already know what you're thinking, and I'm not talking about it right now...

Maki sounded a bit annoyed, but she decided to continue the conversation as if nothing had happened

Maki: So, in the end, is he actually coming?

Yuta: Oh! Of course he's coming! He called me a little while ago; he said he decided to take the subway to the nearest stop, although... how will he manage if the subway to Shibuya is destroyed?...

Maki: Do you seriously not remember? He had to train way too much to be on par with a semi-first grade sorcerer; if he's not running from somewhere right now, then he's actually a bit of a fool

Yuta: Hehe, yeah...

It seemed Yuta had remembered something from recently, although he decided not to speak about it
