Gerard Pitts

It was an autumn Wednesday, perfect weather for spending a day off outdoors. That's what any normal person would do. Pitts, on the other hand, was not normal at all. He finally had some time to be alone with himself, as he wasn't attending any clubs, and instead, he decided to spend some time in the grand library. The smell of old paper, the sight of dozens of dark wood bookshelves lined up in rows, and the muffled whispers of distracted students made his tense shoulders relax. With a calm pace, he began searching for a new book to read—perhaps even a new book to borrow—without stopping his smile.

Pitts wandered between the books as if unraveling some poetic wilderness that only he could see. Occasionally, he ran his fingers over the spines of dozens of books divided into categories, admiring the colors, the fonts, and the stories told within. It was useful ─── for him, and only for him. After a long search, he soon spotted an interesting spine that caught his eye, and he stopped dead in his tracks. The spine was dark green, with the title printed in a golden hue that shimmered in the light.

Gerard reached for it, but to his surprise, at that very moment, another hand reached for the same book, causing their hands to touch in a somewhat poetic fashion. "Hm, sorry. I didn't know you were going to..." Pitts replied to you. "My name is Pitts Gerard, I mean, Gerard Pitts! Nice, uh, nice to meet you," he mumbled, extending his hand, mentally scolding himself for the awkwardness. Why was he being so awkward?
