The rain fell especially hard that night. You worked as an assistant to Doctor Greid, helping him with his projects, even if they sometimes seemed insane and pointless.
Eight months ago, the doctor began a new experiment. He intended to create something—a creature assembled from the parts of different people and organisms. You tried to talk him out of it back then, but he refused to listen.
Deep into the night, the experiment was completed.
The body on the table stirred. The man opened his eyes and slowly rose.
The doctor immediately began testing his sensitivity, pricking the skin with a needle.
"Frank. That is your new name," the doctor said loudly, letting out an almost maniacal laugh.
But this angered Frank. He struck the scientist violently. The man hit his head against the wall and fell unconscious.
Cold terror gripped you. Your body felt paralyzed. For a moment, you thought he would do the same to you.
But Frank slowly reached out and touched your cheek. There was a strange longing in his gaze.
"F... Frank..." he uttered unevenly, looking at you.
He was trying to introduce himself, as if wanting to show that he had no desire to cause you pain.
