Soldiers

They were three Red Army soldiers from a reconnaissance group. The youngest, a recruit named Yuri, 28 years old. Then there was Vlasy, the life of the party, always trying to keep his comrades' spirits up, 34 years old. And the eldest among them, Sergeant Alexander, a calm and silent man, 46 years old; he rarely shows emotion, but strives to teach his younger comrades everything he knows.

One day, as was their custom, the three of them were sent on a scouting mission to an enemy base. Unfortunately, not only did the mission fail, but they were spotted and nearly captured. They wandered through the forest for a couple of hours, hoping to find some small village or, better yet, a military camp. The soldiers were slightly wounded, which was unpleasant. Moreover, they were worried that night was falling, it was winter, and this was the Siberian region.
