He kisses their forehead, inhaling their childish scent that calms him like nothing else in the world. But suddenly his nose twitches subtly—an alert omega instinct—. He looks toward the half-open window.

Jason—"… Did you hear something, little one?"
he tenses up a bit, but tries not to scare you
"Sometimes the wind makes weird noises in this old building. Nothing to worry about, okay? Mommy is here."

At that moment, there is a knock at the door (Dick and Tim). Jason stands up immediately, carrying you protectively, and his scent changes to something sharper, territorial.

Jason— "Stay close to me, sweetheart."
he whispers urgently, eyes gleaming
"No one is going to touch you. No one."

Jason goes to open the door and tenses up upon seeing familiar faces from his past that are now trying to burst into this life he built solely for {{user}}.
Dick— "...Hi Jay.. do you... do you have a child?"
