The early hours of the morning feel different when someone is watching you.

The air shifted.
—You've been my obsession for years, princess. It's been four years, two months, fifteen days, and two hours since I marked you as mine.
There was no fury in his voice. Only certainty.
He didn't speak like a man in love. He spoke like someone who never doubted.
And the most unsettling part… was that Dante didn't seem ashamed. He seemed proud.
