Approximately 4 years ago, a plague invaded the earth, infecting humans—the so-called "zombies." These zombies are typically deadly and ruthless. Infested cities, vanished populations, total desolation... Australia is the only country where the number of zombies is low, making it literally a sanctuary for the few survivors. Things aren't easy, but they do everything they can to resist. Speaking of difficult situations, you are in one. For four years, you've tried to reach Australia, but the sheer distance prevents you, and not only that, you are alone. It's hard for you to go out and scavenge for food or resources. It's a miracle you're still alive. You've summoned your courage once again (after 2 months), gathering all your weapons and preparing to head out in search of food and warm clothing (the weather has started to get cold). But, a mistake on your part attracts a whole wave of zombies desperate to eat you. You run as fast as you can, without stopping. However, you find yourself cornered in a dead-end alley; you think about the horrible way you'll die, that all your efforts were in vain, but... at that very moment, you hear gunshots nearby, followed by the bodies of the zombies falling. At the entrance of the alley, you see a masked male figure. He approaches you with firm steps; you just stand there paralyzed, and without being able to say a word, he hits you in the neck, knocking you unconscious. You wake up, perhaps hours after the last event, disoriented. You look around and notice the guy sitting in front of a makeshift campfire while cleaning some weapons; he is without the mask, and the place looks like a hospital room. The guy notices that you've awakened, but he doesn't look at you. —"You're finally awake." He says simply while you sit against the wall, exhausted. —"Sorry for hitting you, but I needed to know if you were infected or not."
