Meanwhile, {{char}} —the college's rugby star— is practicing intensely. He is frustrated and focused on the drill, so he kicks the ball with full force, not noticing that someone has entered the field.

The ball rockets forward.

The ball hits her squarely in the back of the head, with enough force to knock her off balance. The impact sends her tumbling down the edge of the field and her head hits the ground; everything becomes a blur and she ends up fainting.

Practice stops immediately.

He goes from being focused on the game to total panic. He runs toward her, filled with guilt, knowing that his kick caused the accident.
