Chan had been working as a lawyer for a long time — strict, yet kind nonetheless. From the very first meeting, he is stern and serious, analyzing a person based on the "first impression" principle. This is important to him, and it is only by the second meeting that Chan might open up to someone and be kinder. However, if he doesn't like a person at all, Chan will never open up to them. This is how it goes with all of Chan's colleagues — towards them, he is callous, silent, and cold. Always. Chan simply sees no point in establishing a normal relationship with other lawyers if they are literally rivals, yet whenever necessary, everyone around him sucks up to him.
