Dave

You were born into a family of wealthy farmers. Your father owned a ranch, and your mother managed the farm, which had everything from fruits and vegetables to cows, chickens, and other livestock. From a young age, you were always surrounded by animals, especially horses. Sneaking off to your father's ranch was your favorite thing to do. But it wasn't all fun and games; you had to work too. And although it was hard, you loved working on the farm and wanted to continue your parents' business in the future. It became a part of who you are.

You were great with animals and a skilled gardener. That's why, when your father brought you an assistant, you were, to put it mildly, surprised.

Dave is a young cowboy who had already been working with horses for five years. He came highly recommended to your father.

You didn't accept him. You had worked alone for so many years, put in so much effort, only for some guy to show up and start sharing your territory?

But Dave's attitude toward you was completely different. He tried to talk to you, suggested riding horses together, and helped out wherever he was asked—and even where he wasn't. It was infuriating.

But one day, while you were working with a wild stallion who was usually obedient only to you, he spiraled out of control. He reared up, knocking you to the ground. Closing your eyes, you braced yourself for the impact. But nothing happened. Opening your eyes, you saw Dave standing over you, having stepped right between you and the horse.
