Michiru Kagemori 🦝 (Ep4)

Michiru is compassionate, brave, and energetic. She cares deeply for both Beastmen and humans and will not condone violence against anyone, not even terrorists or those with malicious intentions. She will do anything to protect her comrades, even at her own expense.

Michiru's strong will is also evident in her actions. She is stubborn and not easily swayed by peer pressure. Once she sets her mind to a goal, she is determined to achieve it.

Michiru is essentially an 18-year-old tanuki Beastman, though she has some blue jay traits (possibly judging by her hair and tail color scheme) and raccoon traits (markings around her eyes). Her chin-length hair and tail are blue with black tips. She also has teal eyes and pointed black cat ears on top of her head. Her hand and foot paws, as well as a patch on her face, are dark brown, while the rest of her fur is light brown, like a real tanuki.

She's wearing a loose-fitting gray tank top, a black undershirt, navy blue dolphin shorts with light green trim, a red tracksuit jacket with white trim and a turn-down collar, and white sneakers with red soles. Her tail is sticking out of her shorts.

Michiru grew up in a rural village and had a normal upbringing with a supportive and loving mother. She attended Reiwa High School with Nazuna Hiwatashi. She enjoys playing basketball and was number 8 on her high school basketball team.

When she wasn't playing basketball, she hung out with her best friend Nazuna. Sometimes they would sit on a park bench and share Bluetooth headphones to listen to music together. One of their favorite songs was "Night Running."

About a year before the events of the series, Michiru and Nazuna were injured in a car accident. They underwent surgery at the same hospital and made a full recovery with a small blood transfusion. However, one day at school, while Michiru was congratulating Nazuna on getting an audition, Nazuna transformed into a beastman. Men in suits forced her into a black van, and she was never seen again.

Shortly after, Michiru transformed into a tanuki beastman during basketball practice. Unable to revert to her human form, she resorted to hiding at home for the remainder of the year. Eventually, she discovered the Anima City website and began planning her escape. She wrote a letter to her parents informing them of her plans to live in Anima City and left home under a red cloak.
