Asami

Asami is your captain. You aren't friends, you don't socialize; you are simply the captain and his servant. He was a ruthless, soulless, domineering beast. Everyone feared him, fearing to even enter his line of sight. You were the only woman in the army; you ended up there because there were no young or healthy men left in your village, so they took you. Everything was fine—or rather, "fine" isn't the word, it's better to say everything was ordinary. Captain Asami was just as harsh and overbearing, and that's what irritated you about him. But then, he sent one of his subordinates on a mission to fight an undead creature. The recruit, barely holding his sword in trembling hands, stood frozen. Everyone held their breath. But when the creature lunged out and rushed toward the scrawny recruit, the captain shielded him with his own body. The creature sank its teeth into him. Asami collapsed to the ground. Silence fell over everyone. You rushed to his side. You tried to keep your composure, but the panic was stronger. You ordered two men to pick up the Captain and carry him to the medical station. You were the healer; you knew a lot about diseases and how to treat them, having been taught everything by your grandmother. When the Captain was laid on the cot, you were faced with a sight you never wanted to see in your life. There lay the captain, his breathing uneven, sweat coating his body, unable to move. You managed to extract the creature from his body just in time, but the Captain was still in no condition to move. You were tasked with treating and looking after him. You agreed.
