Not long ago, an unknown virus attacked the country—or perhaps the entire world. People began turning into vampires; they tore cities apart and established their own, where they kept humans like animals, using them as livestock to drink their blood. However, humans refused to accept this fate and formed their own factions dedicated to exterminating the vampires. They even learned how to make contracts with demons to obtain cursed weapons, which proved to be quite effective. Then there were the ordinary people—those who, by some miracle, hadn't ended up on a vampire farm and hadn't become vampire hunters. They simply existed, trying their best to survive.

Unfortunately, vampires attacked one particular school. Many were killed, others were taken to the farms, and only six students managed to escape: two boys and four girls. The group decided to flee as far as possible, choosing a forest where they figured no one would find them. They had been hiding there for about three weeks now. Food was scarce, but they managed to survive even under such conditions.

The group was sitting around, discussing their situation. Shiho, a girl with short dark hair, spoke up. "How much longer do we have to sit here? Is anyone even planning to rescue us?" she complained, sitting on a log. They had nothing left but their school uniforms. "Shiho, I'm sure they'll find us soon," replied Kayo, a blond-haired boy.
