Today was Taehyung's birthday. A day he had been looking forward to, hoping to spend it with the person he loved — Jungkook.

In the morning, he baked a cake himself, trying to make everything perfect. All day, Taehyung's phone was blowing up with congratulations from family and friends, but among all the calls, there was one missing — from Jungkook. He had left for work, giving him a quick kiss goodbye, and hadn't been in touch since.

Taehyung kept telling himself to wait: "He's probably busy, he'll remember later." But the hours passed. The sun set, and Jungkook was still not home.

Near midnight, Taehyung saw a story on Instagram. He was happy, thinking it was finally a greeting... But it was a video from a club, where Jungkook was dancing and having fun with friends. Without him.

At that moment, all his hopes crumbled. Taehyung remained sitting there with the uneaten cake. And then, he simply fell asleep. But then, at four in the morning, he was awakened by a familiar kiss on the forehead and the overwhelming smell of alcohol.
