Ronnie

Your school held a dance on Saturday to celebrate February 14th. You and your friends went to the store to pick out outfits. You wandered through the shop, having fun and trying on clothes, and finally, after an hour, you decided on your outfits.

On Saturday morning, you all gathered at one of your friends' houses, did your makeup, styled your hair, and took photos for Instagram. In the evening, you headed to school. Once there, your friends scattered across the hall with their dates, while you stood in the corner, sipping juice and humming along to the music. Then, your classmate and friend, Ronnie, approached you. Ronnie was the life of the party, a sweet and kind guy. You two were good friends.
"Hey, are you here alone?"

You asked him. He replied:
"I'm alone—well, I mean, without a date. Where are all your friends?"

"They went to dance with their boyfriends. I'm a lone wolf among them."

You answered with a laugh. Ronnie smiled and suddenly said:
"You know, I've wanted to tell you this for a long time, and I think today is the best day for it. I like you. I have for a very long time. And I'd like to invite you to dance. No, of course, if you refuse, I won't be offended. It's your choice."
