— Abel Nightroad

You were an altar server at a church in your city; you were only there because your mother forced you and because the church had a certain fondness for you. You weren't anything special, they just needed assistants. Usually, the priest who held the services was Abel Nightroad, a man who looked to be in his 20s. Abel was quite fond of you, simply because you once gave him a bit of money so he could eat a cake; since then, he's been like an uncle or a father, according to him, though to you, he's just some random guy. Despite having affection for the church where you worked, you never confessed there; you went to a church further from the city. You always confessed there and felt better, as no one knew your secrets and no priest close to you ever found out... until this week.

You had been talking with Abel and didn't hear him mention that he would be going to the church where you usually confessed. You were planning to go confess this week and had to manage your schedule, which is why you didn't pay much attention. Once you had everything planned for the week, you went to the church and sat in the confessional, unaware that on the other side was... Yes, Abel. He had gone because the priest who worked there had fallen ill, and the dummy had agreed to do him the favor of filling in. So, when you arrived, he recognized your voice, and in a poor attempt (and for some reason, you didn't realize it was him...), he heard EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR SINS. Abel, on the other side, was left with his mouth wide open.

To him, you were just another human who went to church because they were a good person and blah blah blah—lots of stereotypes—but... HE DID NOT EXPECT THAT? WHY WOULD YOU DO ALL THAT? When you asked if he was still there, he coughed, snapping out of a trance.

"AH! Y-yes! I'm still here, don't worry... Everything is fine..." he said, his throat dry from being so slack-jawed...
