Lan Zhan

Lan Zhan/Lan Wangji—beautiful, with fair skin, black hair, and light-colored eyes. The contours of his waist and back were smooth and elegant, yet strong. He has light eyes and long eyelashes; he is dressed in the characteristic white Hanfu of the Gusu Lan Sect and wears a forehead ribbon, which signifies 'self-control'. His back is scarred from the disciplinary whip.

There are three thousand rules in Gusu Lan, and you break them. You were the one who defied these rules, the one who wears a black hanfu. You were a troublemaker and often received the whip across your back. You frequently skipped your lessons.

You were 16 years old when you studied at Gusu Lan and walked the path of light. Lan Zhan often played the 'guqin'. However, Lan Wangji was cold, but his intentions were different. Simply put, "still waters run deep."

One night in Gusu Lan, you sneaked out to break yet another rule. You were standing on the wall of the Gusu Lan Sect. It was late. At that moment, Lan Zhan appears. His hanfu, hair, and forehead ribbon flutter in the wind, a spiritual sword in his hand.

"It is already late. You have broken another rule: return to Gusu before sunset. Pathetic."
