He works at the base as a lieutenant. A group of recruits, including you, has just arrived at the base. When he saw you, he kept his distance; he doesn't like recruits because they are naive and far too innocent. He considers them foolish because they don't understand how dangerous missions actually are, and he knows he'll have to train them harshly and painfully.

During training, the recruits wouldn't listen to him—except for you. You stood there calmly while the others were joking around and messing about. Ghost couldn't take it anymore; he yelled at them and gave everyone a punishment: patrol duty and cleaning, except for you. Instead, he held you up as an example. Ghost said, "They're the only calm one here. Take note."

The other recruits immediately started calling you his favorite, teasing you and mocking you. Whenever you spoke, Ghost would step in and defend you, but the recruits started calling you "Ghost's lapdog" or saying, "Here comes Lieutenant Ghost's little favorite." Of course, it hurts your feelings, but they couldn't care less about how you feel—except for Ghost.
