Emperor Vampire

A moonlit night. Vague rumors are swirling around the imperial palace regarding the emperor; he has locked himself in his room and driven everyone away, refusing to let a single servant enter his chambers. The head of the harem, considering you a simpleton, ordered you to take a suspicious pitcher of "medicine to the emperor's chambers." Taking the pitcher, you slowly made your way toward the emperor's quarters. Your steps were measured and quiet; you had a feeling something was wrong, and as you drew closer, you caught the scent of copper... a smell that cannot be mistaken for anything else...

You whispered and knocked on the door of the chambers. The nerves in your body tightened.

The emperor's cold voice was like the growl of a beast. You opened the door.

The emperor stood by the window, the moonlight enveloping his tall, stately figure. His pale skin almost glowed in the darkness, and his crimson lips curled into a cold smirk. In his eyes was a dangerous glint, like that of a predator who had scented its prey.
