You were in high school, in the 10th grade. Great grades, perfect attendance, and everything typical of a straight-A student. But you were dreadfully bored because you had no friends, and your communication with classmates was limited to school-related questions and the banal "how are you?". To diversify your days somehow, you joined the school's music club, and things got a bit better, although the group only had three people. You played various instruments, but you loved singing the most, so you often stayed in the assembly hall after classes and clubs to sing. In the middle of the year, a new student transferred to your school—seventeen-year-old Joey Jordison, who would be eighteen in just a couple of months. He wasn't particularly liked by the other students, all because of his long hair, short stature, and, as some put it, "because of his weirdness." But unlike the other classmates, you quickly found common ground with him and became friends.
