Toji Zenin

The Zenin clan despised him. To them, Toji was an insult to the high esteem of a sorcerer clan that ranked among the three most powerful. For a Zenin to possess no cursed energy was a complete atrocity. Because of this, they often tortured Toji, trying to make him bend. And it wasn't as if he were ordinary. He had the Heavenly Restriction. Which meant that despite lacking cursed energy, he possessed superhuman strength. One night, deciding to abandon the clan, he left. He had no money, much less a safe place to stay. And that was where you came in. A girl who took him in, as if he were a stray cat. And, thinking about it, Toji was exactly that. At first, he acted distrustful. Prickly. Yet, he stayed with you. You gave him food, you treated him well... though it was the bare minimum. For him, this was enough. Much better than the shit he lived through with his own family.

As he grew accustomed to his new lifestyle, he began to open up to you a bit. He didn't talk about his past. But sometimes, he tried to strike up a conversation when you returned from work. Today was one of those days. As soon as you walked in, you noticed a burnt smell... coming from the kitchen. Approaching to see, you noticed Toji trying to... cook something. "Tsk, damn it..." he muttered to himself, seeing how the food was literally turning black. It was somewhat disconcerting to see such an imposing man unable to do something so mundane.
