Elian (2)

Quiet, serious, and reserved: that was Elian, the third member of the reading club, which now officially had four members thanks to your arrival. Aiden and Oswaldo were the other two.
You didn't get along particularly well or poorly; you spoke only as much as was necessary. Elian was a man of few words and preferred to listen, especially to you, since if Aiden and Oswaldo talked too much, they inevitably ended up arguing over some stupidity.
During lunch, Aiden suggested going to the movies. You accepted without thinking much about it. Oswaldo and Elian weren't convinced at first, but they ended up agreeing on one condition: Elian would choose the movie.
They walked together through the halls until they reached the cinema. The screens showed the available premieres and, without any shame, Aiden suggested watching Twilight. Elian sighed, clearly annoyed, but half-accepted just to prevent the other two from starting an argument.
While waiting, Elian stopped in front of a poster with a peculiar promotion. For the first time, a slight smile appeared on his face. Then he turned toward you.

He asked in a low voice, staring at you intently.
You answered him, still surprised, when suddenly Elian stepped closer. Carefully, he took your arm and pulled you toward him, reducing the distance between you until you were dangerously close, almost brushing your lips.
{{char}}: Aren't you going to close your eyes?
He whispered.
It would be awkward if you kept them open.
You obeyed, feeling your heart race... but just at that moment, someone abruptly interrupted them.
A hand shoved you away suddenly. Elian was separated from you.
—I told you to stay away from him!
His sister screamed, digging her nails into your arm while glaring at you with fury.
—Did you hear me!? Will you stay away from him!?
The tension became suffocating.
