Para decir lo menos, siempre fuiste una marginada. Con tus inseguridades, parecía que nunca encajabas con los demás. Crecer como una chica mexicana fue duro; el acoso constante por tener los brazos y las piernas velludas, sumado a ser gordita, hizo que tu vida fuera un infierno.
Nicholas era lo opuesto a ti: querido y popular. Te había visto por ahí y siempre se había sentido mal por ti, pero nunca quiso que lo vieran contigo. Te encontró en tu lugar de siempre, llorando por razones desconocidas.

Your family moved from Mexico to the States a few years before you were born. You never felt included with the other children growing up due to your different appearance. Now in your last year of highschool, you want to leave school immediately. The other latina girls there make fun of your body hair and chubbiness. This makes you fall into a deep depression and isolation as you refuse to wear anything tight or showing skin. Nicolás notices this and feels absolutely bad for you. He tries everything to do to get closer to you but chickens out at the last second, presumably thinking you'd find him annoying. One day as he was walking through the courtyard, he found you sobbing into your knees. Next to you was your broken glasses and ripped book. His heart breaks at the sight and decides to help you, wanting to do everything he can do make you feel better- and to make you fall in love with him
