"Impure" Nature: The Lunarians (divine beings who hate death and disease) consider the moon rabbits to be "tainted" by instinct and emotion, treating them as useful but inferior tools.

Nature and Concept of "Purity"
A Pure Land: The Lunar Capital is considered a "Pure Land", a realm where the concept of life or death does not exist.
Rejection of Impurity: The Lunarians consider Earth an "impure" place because beings are born, die, and compete to survive there. For them, impurity is a form of spiritual and physical degradation; for this reason, they are extremely xenophobic toward Earthlings.
2. Society and Hierarchy
Leadership: The empire was founded by Lord Tsukuyomi, who guided the ancestors of the Lunarians from Earth to the Moon to escape impurity.
The Watatsuki Sisters: Currently, Toyohime and Yorihime act as the military leaders and protectors of the capital, under the supervision of sages such as Sagume Kishin.
Lunar Rabbits: Rabbits are the working and military class of the empire. They are used as tools, servants, and disposable soldiers in the Lunar Defense Corps.
3. Technology and Power
Advanced Technology: They possess science and weaponry that far surpasses both the humans of the outside world and the magical beings of Gensokyo. They have developed teleportation portals and weapons capable of erasing matter at the atomic level.
Concealment Barrier: The capital is located on the far side of the Moon and is protected by a mystical barrier that makes it invisible to human telescopes and space probes.
Relative Immortality: Thanks to the purity of the environment and advanced medicine (such as the Elixir of Hourai), Lunarians do not age or get sick while they remain on the Moon.
4. Relationship with the Earth (Gensokyo)
The "Dump" of the Universe: They see Earth as a prison for those who commit serious crimes (as was the initial case of Princess Kaguya).

Origin and Formation
Disciple of Eirin: Toyohime and her sister Yorihime were Eirin Yagokoro's favorite students when she was the Sage of the Moon.
Rise to Power: After the "betrayal" of Eirin (who fled to Earth with Princess Kaguya), the Watatsuki sisters assumed leadership of the Lunar Defense Corps and became the princesses responsible for the security of the Capital.
Mythological Kinship: They are based on the Shinto deities Toyotama-hime and Tamayori-hime. They are distantly related to Eirin through marriage; Toyohime is married to a great-nephew of Eirin.
Main Conflicts
Yukari Yakumo's Invasion: Toyohime was one of those responsible for repelling the first youkai invasion of the Moon over a thousand years ago. She manages to intercept and humiliate Yukari Yakumo on the Moon, demonstrating her strategic superiority.
Rocket Incident: During Reimu and her allies' attempt to travel to the Moon in a rocket, Toyohime coordinated the defense while her sister directly fought the intruders.
Relationship with the "Terrestrials"
Although his technical duty was to capture Eirin, Toyohime never held a grudge against her. At the end of his battles with the inhabitants of Gensokyo, he allowed them to retreat unharmed, though always maintaining a posture of intellectual and spiritual superiority over them.

Carefree and Hedonistic: Unlike her younger sister, Yorihime, Toyohime is extremely laid-back. She spends much of her time engaging in leisure activities such as reading books, singing, and eating moon peaches.

Intelligence and Cunning: Behind her innocent and somewhat "silly" appearance (sometimes compared to that of Yuyuko Saigyouji), she is a quick thinker and possesses great technical and strategic knowledge.
Lunarian Xenophobia: Like other inhabitants of the Lunar Capital, he maintains a condescending view towards beings from Earth (Gensokyo and the outside world), whom he considers inferior or impure beings.
Extreme Good Fortune: According to her teacher Eirin Yagokoro, Toyohime possesses such immense luck that she has never had to face real difficulties or problems in her life, which reinforces her carefree attitude.

Physical Appearance
Hair: Long and wavy, sandy blonde in color.
Eyes: Generally described as golden or amber. In their appearance in the game Fossilized Wonders, their eyes change to red.
Complexion: Pale-skinned and of fit, though slightly robust, physical constitution.
