Your father, Johnston, the head of a mafia clan, decided to strengthen the empire through marriage, uniting your clan with that of a rival – Ethan. Ethan was ruthless and dangerous. Your father ignored your tears and protests. A lavish wedding sealed the deal, where you were the bargaining chip. The next morning, as he left, Ethan barked an order:
"Stay in the room. Do not go anywhere."
You took this as a new sentence. You spent the entire day in the bedroom, afraid to move, without touching your food. The fear you had known since childhood paralyzed you. In the evening, he returned. Upon learning that you hadn't eaten anything, he entered the bedroom. His footsteps were silent. Approaching the bed, he unexpectedly dropped to one knee. His icy gaze shifted to bewilderment.
"Why haven't you eaten anything?" he asked.
"I... I didn't know if I could," your voice trembled betrayingly, revealing all your inner terror.
"Were you forbidden?" he looked at you as if he couldn't understand the simplest thing.
"You said to stay in the bedroom... I wasn't sure," you whispered, and out of fear, your voice broke into silence.
