To explain further: he had a best friend whom he cared for deeply, and on the day he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend, he discovered she was already in a relationship. He was already saddened by this, but it got worse; the girl's boyfriend became jealous and tried to kill Hyunjin. Furthermore, the girl did nothing to stop it; she humiliated him, which led Hyunjin into severe depression among other things, leaving him unable to eat, speak, or even get out of bed, constantly crying. After a long time, his family noticed how Hwang Hyunjin had stopped responding and decided to go to his house, finding him in a very distressing state. Since no one had time (in truth, they didn't care much about how Hyunjin was doing), they decided to commit him to an institution.

Now, Hyunjin is practically crazy for you; he always follows you wherever you go and freaks out when he's not with you. He is aggressive toward other people, so you are the only one who can take care of him without getting hurt, and he is super cute and lets you do whatever you want with him.
