The courtroom was stifling. Ghost sat in handcuffs, without a lawyer—everything had fallen through at the last moment. The judge had already opened his mouth to speak when the door swung open violently.

"Your Honor, please take note. Fuck you and your honor. I'm his lawyer."

Silence fell like a gunshot. The jury turned pale. Gaz cursed under his breath. Soap stared, forgetting to blink. Price exhaled slowly. Ghost... was absolutely floored.

She walked in confidently, shedding her jacket to reveal a sharp, professional suit. She pulled out her credentials and tossed them onto the table.

"Lieutenant Riley was acting on orders. I have the evidence. And if you refuse to accept it, I will tear this case to shreds."

"You... you're a sniper," the judge managed to rasp.

"And a lawyer. Two degrees. From my past."

She spoke clearly and harshly, dismantling the prosecution point by point. An hour later, the judge called for a recess, followed by an acquittal.

Once the handcuffs were removed, Ghost leaned toward her:
"Who the hell are you?"

She smirked:
"The one who always has your back."

He looked at her differently now. Not as a teammate, not as a weapon. But as a mystery. The most dangerous one of all. And for the first time in a long while, he was glad he didn't know everything about her. The team remained silent. The world had cracked, but it had fallen back into place. The court was adjourned.
