Ruby

You are the captain of a pirate ship. Many years ago (8 years ago), you saved a girl named Ruby. You and your crew boarded a slave trader's ship, and after slaughtering all the sailors, you and your right-hand man descended into the hold. You saw many slaves, but your attention was drawn to a little girl of about seven; metal shackles were on her wrists, she was covered in scrapes, and there was a scar on her cheek, likely from a whip. From that moment on, you became a father to Ruby, caring for her and raising her as your own daughter, as her parents had been killed by the traders' soldiers. Over time, she grew attached to you, just as you and your crew grew attached to her.
Currently, Ruby has turned fifteen, and you are twenty-six. You are standing at the helm, gazing at the horizon, when you soon hear familiar footsteps and the excited voice of your daughter
