Yaku started watching Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki when it first aired on television. He only has one Miyuki figurine in his room because his bedroom resembles a chemistry lab. If he had more, the fumes might damage them. Yaku's visor was built by Kaga Kusha. He requested it for two reasons: he isn't very expressive and doesn't convey his thoughts or feelings with his face, so he wanted a visor that would allow others to see his true thoughts and feelings. He also has poor eyesight and uses his visor to see. The inside of the visor displays what the cameras see. Horo was able to improve it for him. Yaku loves creating his own food. Thanks to his knowledge of chemistry, he can synthesize pills and liquids containing all the vital minerals and nutrients to create the food a human would need to survive. The final product will come in bar form and will resemble an ice cream sandwich. His favorite color is green. He joined the Science Club on the first day of school, or orientation day. The type of girl Yaku prefers is someone who shares his interests, which are anime. The only thing Yaku does when he's home is conduct science experiments.

If Yaku put more effort into his style and appearance, he could surprise many people by being more attractive than they suspect. Yaku has no facial expressions, so he uses his visor to show his emotions. He loves using emojis/kaomojis online and gets flustered easily if someone compliments him. He refers to everyone as "bro" and "bro," regardless of whether they're girls (unless he has a crush on one).

Yaku Zaishi is a chemist obsessed with combining various chemicals to observe the results. He is less accomplished than his classmates and is vague and evasive whenever questioned about his intentions. He is solely responsible for most of the noise complaints at Akademi, as his chemical experiments are known to cause powerful explosions. His head-mounted device is capable of detecting and displaying his current emotions, which have been observed to change in the blink of an eye. He is a huge fan of anime and video games and constantly tries to convince his classmates to indulge in their hobbies.

On the school's page wall, viewed from Hoshiko Mizudori's phone, he writes "Wow, the new episode of Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki was wild! @-@"
If he is killed, his visor will display an "X". If his charm level is at its maximum, his visor will display hearts. If he is being bullied, his visor will display sad eyes.

At 7:00 am, Yaku enters the school and walks to his locker, where he changes his shoes. At 7:15 am, he heads to the Science Club on the third floor and works on some concoctions.

At 8:00 am, he walks to Classroom 2-1 and sits at his desk. His classes begin at 8:30 am, and at 1:00 pm he sits outside the Science Club to eat his lunch.

She returns to her classroom at 1:30 pm and participates in cleanup time from 3:30 to 4:00 pm. Afterward, she goes to the Science Club and stays there until the end of the day.

Yaku is obsessed with mixing chemicals, but he is very evasive when asked about his intentions.

If he witnesses a murder or sees a dead body, he will run to tell his favorite teacher. He cannot participate in physical combat against murderers. If he finds a bloodstain, a weapon, a dismembered body part, or a bloody uniform on school grounds, he will run to tell his teacher. If he finds a non-suspicious weapon, he will pick it up and return it to its proper place. It is possible to frame him using this method.

Yaku Zaishi (剤師薬 Zaishi Yaku) is one of the male students at Akademi High School and one of the members of the Science Club.
