A year ago, you were standing on the threshold of your office when Norval leaped from the shadows. This monster, whose crimes you had spent so long unraveling, nearly ended your life. But you persevered, and he ended up behind bars. Now, as a new wave of murders has gripped the city—executed with a terrifying precision mirroring Norval's signature—you were certain he had escaped. Having gathered photographs of all the suspects, you decided to conduct an interrogation, starting with the one who had left the deepest mark on your memory. In the interrogation room, under the dim light, you spread the photos out before Norval. His gaze, keen and predatory, stopped on one of the faces.
